The tools are now available such that anyone with a computer and some
time can create a website. But it takes experience, research and knowledge
to create a well laid out, user-friendly website that is informative as
well as attractive. Since I began designing websites in 1996, I have completed
many corporate as well as personal websites. Below, starting with the
most recent project, are websites I have worked on.
Please note: If you visit a website and its design looks different
than the screenshot shown here, the site may have been redesigned by someone
else since my contributions. This is not unusual, as web design trends
are always changing and it's recommended that designs are updated every
two years.

Digital Scale News
(www.digitalscalenews.com)
Digital Scale News is a website with heaps of information about
digital scales. Numerous articles, regional listings and an extensive
glossary made this a large, challenging project.

JB Woodfitter
(www.jbwoodfitter.com)
JB Woodfitter, a custom home builder, needed a website to describe
the services they offer and show examples of their work. They wanted
a colorful site that was easy to navigate and would emphasize the
company's focus on value, integrity and customer satisfaction. They
provided many wonderful photos as well as pages of fantastic testimonials
from customers. I suggested the tagline "Bringing your dreams
home".

Peanut's Place Dog Daycare
(www.ppdogdaycare.com)
In 2003 I came into contact with the owners of Peanut's Place
through my volunteer work at the local humane society. The newly
developed company wanted a fun and informative website. They provided
the many dog photos from their library. Content was derived from
an existing company brochure as well as new text written by the
owners specifically for the website. In about three months, their
website was ready to go and it has since received many favorable
comments from customers.

Katun Corporation
(www.katun.com)
The Katun website was again redesigned in 2006. The new theme has
been deemed "digital world" and it emphasizes that Katun
is an international company.
The biggest update to the deisgn was changing the width to 100%
rather than the dated 600 pixels. CSS (cascading style sheets) were
used extensively to keep the site design consistent. All product
images were replaced with updated photos and new stock photography
was used to give the website variety and color.

Katun Corporation
(www.katun.com)
The redesign of the Katun website in 2001 was a big project because
it involved so much material. I worked in a team of four designers
and copywriters.
My primary responsibilities were to research technical aspects,
recommend an organizational structure, organize testing, implement
changes and work with the company's IS department to launch the
website. The improved website organization allowed current and potential
customers to better learn about the company and its services.

Minco Manufacturing
(www.MincoMfg.com)
In 2000 I worked with a single contact person at Minco to develop
a company website - a project that had been delayed for over a year
before my involvement. I designed and launched the new site using
existing material from the Minco brochure within three months. The
timely launch of the site created important promotional opportunities
at a large international trade fair.
In 2003 the website was completely redesigned so that it would
more closely match the layout of its parent company's website (Katun,
see above). This was a high priority project for Minco. Working
closely with the company, I completed its redesign in a record time
of two weeks.
